Agartala, 15th May 2025: Birganj witnessed a shocking theft late last night as a gang of thieves targeted the residence of Bhabani Pal, located near the old petrol pump. The criminals made off with jewelry and cash intended for his daughter’s wedding leaving the family devastated.
It is reported that Pal’s wife found the burglary upon returning from the wedding ceremony, noticing the cupboard door open and valuables missing. The Birganj police swiftly arrived at the scene following the complaint and have launched an investigation.
Sources indicate that officers from Amarpur police station have compiled a list of individuals suspected to be involved in such criminal activities. Authorities are expected to call them in for questioning as part of efforts to track down the culprits.
Residents have expressed concern over the rising incidents of theft and urged local police to intensify security measures in the area. The investigation remains ongoing.
