Agartala, 31st January 2025: The School Education Department has suspended three teachers of Champaknagar Higher Secondary School for gross dereliction of duty.
The names of these three teachers are Gauri Majumdar, Rupa Debnath and Kumkum Das. All three of them are graduate teachers.
The decision came after it came to notice of Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha who is also Education Minister of the state.
Due to their dereliction of duty, the students faced an unfortunate incident on their way back from an educational trip.
Considering the seriousness of the matter, the Chief Minister has asked the department to take strict steps in this regard so that discipline is maintained in the educational institution and the safety of the students.
The state government is firmly committed to ensuring a fear-free and secure learning environment for the students.
