Agartala, 15th July 2024 : A five-day training program for the 17 newly appointed ward secretaries of various wards under the Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) commenced at the AMC’s conference hall on Monday. The program was inaugurated by AMC Mayor Dipak Majumder in presence of Deputy Mayor Manika Das Datta and other dignitaries.
In his inaugural address, Mayor Majumder, who is also a legislator expressed hope that the newly appointed ward secretaries would become well-acquainted with the issues of their respective wards.
He emphasized the importance of collaboration between the ward secretaries and the ward councilors to effectively address and resolve these issues.
Mayor Majumder also highlighted the need for the ward secretaries to ensure that the benefits of various projects reach the citizens of their wards.
