Agartala, 20th January 2026: On the occasion of Tripura Statehood Day, Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha extended warm greetings and best wishes to all.
In his message, Dr Saha said, “Tripura was recognized as a full-fledged state on January 21, 1972. I extend my warm greetings and congratulations to all those who have contributed to Tripura’s development as a full-fledged state. As a result of the Act East Policy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the North-Eastern region, including Tripura, is progressing in various aspects of development through improved communication systems.”
He said that after the new government came to power in Tripura in 2018, the state has been recognized in every field, such as agriculture, education, health, industry, infrastructure development, women’s empowerment, providing security in public life, and achieving self-reliance.
“Our main goal is to improve the quality of life of every person, develop the economy, utilize the state’s own resources, and decentralize power through transparent administration. Keeping in mind the goal of building a Viksit Bharat, we are committed to building Srestha Tripura on the path shown by Prime Minister Modi. Let us pledge on the occasion of Statehood Day to build a ‘New Tripura,” he added.
