Agartala, 2nd September 2025: In anticipation of the upcoming Durga Puja festivities, the Government of Tripura has announced the early disbursement of salaries for state government employees. According to an official memorandum issued by the Department of Finance, salaries for the month of September will be paid in advance on September 26, 2025.
The directive, signed by Under Secretary Dinesh Debbarma, outlines that while regular government employees will receive their salaries ahead of schedule, those working in Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) will be paid on October 1, 2025.
Government offices across the state will remain closed from September 27 to October 6, allowing employees to fully participate in the celebrations.
The memorandum has been circulated to all key administrative offices, including the Governor’s Secretariat, the Chief Minister’s Office, the Finance Minister’s Office, and various departmental heads, treasury officers, and public service officials. The Information and Cultural Affairs Department has been tasked with ensuring wide publicity of the announcement.
This move is part of the state’s annual tradition of facilitating festive preparations for its workforce, reinforcing the cultural significance of Durga Puja in Tripura.
