Agartala, 14th February 2026:   Justice T. Amarnath Goud of the Tripura High Court highlighted on Saturday that the state continues to achieve strong outcomes in case resolution through Lok Adalat, as the first session of 2026 began with significant participation across districts.

During his visit to the Agartala court complex for the inaugural session, Justice Goud noted that Tripura has consistently recorded settlement rates between 70% and 80%, establishing itself as a leading state in alternative dispute resolution.

“Today marks the first Lok Adalat session of 2026. Judicial officers, police personnel, government departments, and court staff are all actively collaborating to ensure cases are resolved promptly,” he said.

Official data indicates that approximately 23,600 cases were addressed during this round of Lok Adalat statewide. West Tripura alone had around 5,000 cases scheduled for settlement, with 28 judicial officers deployed to manage proceedings efficiently, including five dedicated to West District courts.

Expressing optimism about the session, Justice Goud said authorities aim to maintain the high disposal rate seen in previous sessions. “Tripura has consistently performed well in Lok Adalat settlements. We are confident that this session will also achieve a strong outcome,” he added.
