Agartala, 10th  February 2026 :   Aspirants for the post of Special Executive in Tripura Police staged a protest outside Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha’s residence today demanding immediate completion of the pending recruitment process. Police detained the demonstrators for assembling without prior permission and transported them to the AD Nagar Police Lines.

The protesters insisted that the government release examination results without delay and finalize the recruitment. They warned that failure to meet their demands would trigger larger agitations in the coming days.

Candidates expressed frustration over the prolonged uncertainty, noting that the recruitment drive for 6,067 Special Executive posts was announced in 2022. Physical and written tests were conducted soon after, but nearly three years later, neither results nor merit lists have been published.

Job seekers alleged that the delay has left many facing severe financial and psychological distress. Despite repeated appeals to the administration, they claim no clear assurances have been given.

Their appeal to the Chief Minister was unequivocal: publish the results and complete the recruitment process at the earliest. They urged Dr. Saha to treat the matter with urgency, stressing that the prolonged wait has deepened their sense of insecurity and despair.
