Agartala, 25th December 2025 : Dharmanagar witnessed vibrant celebrations today, as Hindu devotees observed Tulsi Puja Day with devotion and grandeur. The day-long religious program was organized at the Dharmanagar Kalibari premises under the initiative of the Vishva Hindu Parishad’s North Tripura District Committee.
From early morning, large numbers of Sanatani devotees thronged the Kalibari and Kali temple, filling the area with a spiritual atmosphere. The schedule began at 6 a.m. with the Tulsi Puja, followed by Vishnu Puja, recitation of the Bhagavad Gita, and other rituals. In the evening, devotees were offered prasad, while children participated enthusiastically in a Tulsi-themed drawing competition.
Organizers highlighted that this was the first time Tulsi Puja was held in Dharmanagar. Adding to the uniqueness, an 8-foot idol of Goddess Tulsi was crafted for the occasion, the first of its kind in the Northeast becoming a special attraction for visitors.
The celebrations concluded peacefully, marked by religious harmony and devotion, leaving Dharmanagar immersed in a festive spiritual aura.
