Agartala, 11th March 2025 : In a spirited address in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday, MP Biplab Kumar Deb praised the Union Budget for the financial year 2025-26, describing it as a beacon of hope for the youth, middle class, and farmers of the nation. “This budget reflects the aspirations of creating a future of financial development for all sections of society,” he stated.
Highlighting the budget’s 7.4 percent increase, Deb emphasized its potential to benefit the entire country. “Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has meticulously planned this budget to propel the nation forward financially. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, only she could shoulder such a monumental responsibility,” he remarked. He also expressed gratitude, saying, “I thank Prime Minister Modi and Finance Minister Sitharaman for presenting a budget that embodies the dreams of our people.”
Deb further underscored the economic advantages for Manipur, asserting that the state, along with the rest of the country, stands to gain significantly. “Manipur witnessed no development during the Congress rule. However, under the BJP government, the state has reached unprecedented heights of progress,” he said. He added, “From 2014 to 2025, Prime Minister Modi has increased Manipur’s budget 143 times, a testament to his commitment to the region’s growth.”
The MP’s remarks resonated with the broader narrative of the Union Budget’s transformative vision for India’s economic future.
