Agartala, 24th October 2024: In a high-level review meeting held at the conference hall of Khowai District Magistrate’s office on Thursday, Union Minister of Road, Transport and Highway, Ajay Tamta evaluated the progress of central government projects aimed at public welfare.
The meeting commenced at 11:30 AM in presence of District Magistrate Chandani Chandran, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Charu Burma and several officials from the State National Roads Department and various other district departments.
Speaking to the media after the meeting, Minister Tamta emphasized the purpose of the visit. “The primary goal of this meeting was to ensure that the central government projects, especially those related to the Jal Jeevan Mission, National Road System, health, and agriculture, are being implemented efficiently for the public’s benefit,” he said.
He added that his team conducted a detailed survey to identify any shortcomings in these projects. “If we find any deficiencies, it is important to address them immediately and work towards a swift resolution. The focus remains on public interest, and we are committed to ensuring that these initiatives reach the people as intended,” Tamta remarked.
After the review, Minister Tamta proceeded to Padmabil Block to inspect National Highway No. 208. “I want to ensure that the road infrastructure, a crucial component of development, is up to the mark and supports the overall progress of the region,” he concluded.
The review meeting aimed to foster collaboration between central and local authorities, ensuring the effective execution of development projects in Khowai district.
