Agartala Nov 09: Slamming the state government over its role of “mute spectator”, the qualified unemployed youths under the banner of All Medical Laboratory Technologists Association demanded immediate recruitment in government posts.

Wednesday amid a press meet at the Agartala Press Club the youths lashed out the state government adding that, “Where there are thousands of youths sitting jobless at homes, how is the state BJP government claiming Sushashan”?

Addressing the press, the leaders of the association said, “We want recruitment of unemployed medical laboratory technologists and technicians under government of Tripura on permanent basis in sufficient number”.“Only because of our tireless efforts in diagnosing the diseases, the doctors are able to treat the patients”, they added.

Although there is a crisis of adequate number of Lab technicians in the state government hospitals, the government is not taking any step to recruit us, alleged the youths. They further alleged, “Despite placing deputations, organizing protests and trying to meet the Chief Minister nothing has been for us so far”.The job aspirants said a contractual job cannot give a life security and so permanent job is the demanded of the hour. The Association warned to go for massive protest if the demand of recruitment is not fulfilled on an immediate note.
