Former IPS officer Anand Mishra and former Union Minister Nagamani are all set to join BJP tomorrow, ahead of upcoming Bihar assembly elections.
State media convener of BJP Danish Rizwan, while confirming it, told UNI that Mishra and Nagmani would join the party tomorrow at a function to be organised in state headquarters of the party in Patna on Tuesday.
Both Mishra and Nagmani were in touch with party leadership for the past few months, he added.
Nagmani was Union Minister in Vajpayee cabinet and has changed parties on several occasions. He remained associated with several parties including JD(U), RJD, BJP and LJP. Mishra was an IPS officer of Assam cadre and had contested last Lok Sabha elections from Buxar seat as an independent candidate.
He was also president of the youth wing of ” Jan Suraaj “, but following differences with its founder Prashant Kishor, he had deserted the party. It is being speculated in political circles that Mishra could get a BJP ticket to contest from Buxar seat in next Bihar assembly elections to be held in October-November this year.
