Floral tributes were paid to Former Tamil Nadu Chief
Minister and DMK Patriarch M Karunanidhi on the occasion of his six death
anniversary here on Wednesday.
Chief Minister an DMK President M K Stalin led the state in paying tributes to
the late leader.
Mr Stalin, accompanied by his Cabinet Colleague, DMK MPs, MLAs and
functionaries paid floral tributes to a portrait of his late father at the Omandurar
Government estate.
Later, he led a peace rally to Mr Karunanidhi’s memorial on th marina beach
front and paid floral tributes.
He also paid tributes at the memorial of late Chief Minister and DMK stalwart
C N Annadurai at Marina.
Earlier, Mr Stalin unveiled the centenary life size statue of Mr Karunanidhi at
Trichy via video conferencing from his camp office here.
As per the advise of Mr Stalin, DMK leaders, including district secretaries and
party functionaries, paid rich tributes to Mr Karunanidhi across the state to mark
the occasion.
