Date:

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday visited the AIIMS trauma centre here, and enquired about the health of the security personnel injured in the 21-day-long anti-Naxal operation carried out in Karegutta Hills (KGH) across Chhattisgarh and Telangana border.

Notably, in the biggest anti-Naxal operation, security forces eliminated 31 notorious red ultras in the Karegutta Hills (KGH) on the Chhattisgarh-Telangana border.

Karegutta Hill was the unified headquarters of big Naxal organisations like PLGA Battalion 1, DKSZC, TSC and CRC, where along with Naxal training, strategies and weapons were also developed.

The Home Minister on Wednesday had lauded the CRPF, STF and DRG soldiers for the success. He also congratulated them for facing the Naxalites with their bravery and courage even in bad weather and inaccessible mountainous area.
