Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy paid floral tributes to the Rajiv Gandhi statue at Somajiguda in Hyderabad on his death anniversary on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, Reddy highlighted Rajiv Gandhi’s pivotal role in laying the foundation for India’s IT sector development. He also recalled Gandhi’s extensive services to the nation as Prime Minister.
Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, former Minister Jana Reddy, V. Hanumantha Rao, former Minister Shabbir Ali, AICC state party affairs in-charge Deepa Dasmunsi, and other dignitaries participated in the program.
Information and Public Relations Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy also paid rich tributes to the Rajiv Gandhi statue at Kusumanchi in Khammam district.
Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, who is currently on a tour in the USA, participated in a Rajiv Gandhi death anniversary program held at Times Square in New York, party sources said.
