Theatre Stampede case: Tollywood actor Allu Arjun appears before police for questioning

 Tollywood actor Allu Arjun on Tuesday appeared before the Chikkadpally police for questioning in connection with the Sandhya Theatre Stampede case.

The actor along with his legal team arrived at the Chikkadpally police station located at Ashok Nagar in the city in the morning where a large contingent of police personnel have been deployed besides heavily barricaded as a precautionary measure.

The actor was issued a notice to appear before the police at 11 am on Tuesday in connection with a stampede incident during screening of ‘Pushpa 2 : The Rule’ in which a 37-year old-woman Revathi died, while her eight-year-old son was critically injured and hospitalized at KIMS Cuddles, Secunderabad.

After over three and half hours of questioning, Allu Arjun left the Chikkadpally police station in the afternoon.

Earlier in the day, the National Award winning actor arrived amid large number of media personnel.

The actor was accompanied by his father Allu Arvind and father-in-law Chandrashekar Reddy.

The tragic incident took place on December 4 when a large number of fans thronged the Sandhya theatre at RTC X roads here to have a glimpse of the actor.

The Telangana High Court on December 13 granted interim bail for four weeks to Allu Arjun after a lower court sent him to 14-day judicial custody in connection with the stampede case at Sandhya theatre.

Allu Arjun was among the three accused related to the case.
