Tamil Nadu Governor R.N.Ravi on
Saturday paid floral tributes to former President and Bharat
Ratna Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam on the occasion of his 91st
birth anniversary.
The Governor paid floral tributes to a decorated portrait of
the Dr Kalam in front of his statue at the Raj Bhavan campus.
The Governor commemorated Dr.Kalam’s innumerable
contributions to India’s defence and space capabilities.
Ravi said Dr.Kalam, was a distinguished scientist, visionary
statesman and the epitome of simplicity and knowledge.
“He strongly believed in youth and inspired them through
his actions and words. He will always be an inspiration for
youths of India in building a self-reliant and strong Nation”,
the Governor said
Ravi also appealed to the students to dream big and work
hard to make the dreams true as called by Dr.Kalam.
He recollected Dr.Kalam’s quote, “Accept your past without
regret, Handle your present with confidence, Face your future
without fear”.
Anandrao V Patil, Principal Secretary to Governor, Officials
and staff of Raj Bhavan were present on the occasion and
paid floral tributes.
