UP: Three killed, 4 injured as pickup hits two motorcycles

 Three persons were killed and four others were injured when two motorcycles were hit by a pickup in the Gauri Bazar area of Deoria district here in Uttar Pradesh, a police officer said here on Saturday.

Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Deependra Chaudhary said that the incident took place near Pokharbhinda village when the pickup coming from the wrong direction hit two motorcycles. “Three persons identified as Ratnesh (24), Sahil (17), and Dilip (24) were killed in the incident,” he said.

He said that four persons identified as Raju, Ratnesh Yadav, Ankit Jaiswal, and Rajesh Jaiswal were injured and have been admitted to the medical college.

The ASP said that the pickup driver has been arrested and the vehicle has been impounded.
