Agartala, 10th October 2025 : Temple robbery for consecutive third time in Ramthakur Seva Mandir brewed wrath against police and security. Ramthakur Seva Mandir is a renowned religious place in the heart of the Kamalpur town. But in last ten days robbery took place for three times and twice in last four days.
As per the information, the Priest and assistant, this morning noticed the main gate is opened. They informed the committee. It revealed that, last night thieves entered into the premise, lashed the locks, looted the silver chain from the idol, cash amount from the donation box, vandalized the office room and looted cash and valuables broking the almirah. It sparked enough tension among the locale and also brewed wrath against the police inactivity.
The Secretary of the Committee Dilip Majumder expressed that, on 5th of October last such incident happened. And within three days it repeated. Every time the matter was informed to police. But there is no respite. The failure of police in curbing such activities raised concern.
