Agartala: July 20. The road blockade in the state has started increasing with the demands of providing drinking water, repair of road and uninterrupted power supply. Like other days today also locals of Roy Pasa Bari blockaded the Assam Agartala National Highway in Betbagan area demanding proper water supply, repair of roads and uninterrupted power supply.
The agitators said the the water pump operator not getting his wages properly since many months and because of this the worker of the pump house is not realizing water properly.
They also said that since many months they are facing problem with electricity and bad road conditions which they informed to the local administration but no steps have been taken from them to repair the road and to restore the power. However, when they blocked the road the administration rushed to the spot and assured that the demands would be fulfilled.
