Agartala, 4th July 2025:  In a resolute call for peace, the All India Democratic Women’s Association (AIDWA), Abhoynagar Local Committee held a human chain demonstration today at Radhanagar in the heart of the capital city. The programme aimed to raise voices against hate-driven politics, terrorism and the ongoing devastation of war across the globe.

Addressing the gathering, CPI(M) Central Committee member Krishna Rakshit said, “We want peace, not war.” She strongly condemned the Israeli assault on Palestine that has claimed the lives of thousands of women and children. Rakshit also mourned the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, which resulted in civilian casualties, and called for action to bring the perpetrators to justice.

“In memory of those innocent lives lost both in Palestine and in Pahalgam this human chain serves as a tribute and a demand for accountability,” she said. Rakshit further urged the Indian government to shed its silence and reinforce its non-alignment policy through stronger diplomatic measures.
