Agartala, 22nd July 2025:  Unidentified miscreants stole a wheel from a Bolero vehicle parked at a garage in Charilam Puranbari late last night. The garage located adjacent to a petrol pump under Uttar Charilam Gram Panchayat has now been targeted twice by thieves within a short span.

According to the garage owner, the vehicle was brought in for repairs and left overnight. This afternoon, he found that one of its wheels had been removed and stolen. The owner suspects that the theft was carried out by local youth under the influence of drugs, seeking money to support their addiction.

“This kind of theft was unheard of in our locality until recently. Now, vehicle owners and garage operators are living in constant fear. Even parked vehicles are no longer safe,” said the distressed owner, adding that important auto parts could be stolen at any moment.

An official complaint has been lodged with Bishalgarh Police Station, although the owner expressed skepticism about whether the culprits could be apprehended. “Even with a formal complaint, I doubt the authorities will be able to trace these habitual offenders,” he remarked.
