Agartala, 23rd July 2025: A joint initiative by the Lions Club of Khowai and Leo Club of Khowai brought together students, educators, and local leaders at Rampur High School, Ranjit Nagar for an awareness camp on anti-drug advocacy and voluntary blood donation.
The event, hosted on the school premises, saw active participation from Khowai Lions Club President Manik Debnath, Lions District Chairperson Pranab Banik, Headmistress Leena Chakraborty, Assistant Teacher Sumitra Datta and club members Mayuk Chakraborty and Deepika Das alongside numerous teachers and guardians.
Delivering a compelling address, Chairperson Pranab Banik urged students and youth to actively resist drug addiction, highlighting the importance of building a healthier society through collective action. Educators echoed his call, emphasizing the role of parents and teachers in fostering awareness at home and in classrooms.
Discussions also centered on the need for voluntary blood donation. Attendees expressed enthusiasm, with several teachers and guardians pledging support for future blood donation drives to be organized under school-led initiatives.
The gathering was marked by energetic student participation, with refreshments distributed throughout the event. Headmistress Chakraborty applauded the clubs’ community-focused efforts and encouraged them to continue such impactful programming.
In his closing remarks, Lions Club President Debnath reiterated the organization’s commitment to future initiatives aimed at societal well-being and youth empowerment.
