Agartala, 1st August 2025 : North Tripura district today witnessed a vibrant celebration marking the 4th anniversary of the Nipun Bharat mission and the 3rd anniversary of Nipun Tripura—two key initiatives aimed at achieving Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN), a core objective of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
The day began with a colourful rally, drawing participation from school students across all blocks of the district, including Jampui, Kadamtala, Panisagar, and Dharmanagar. Organized by the Nipun Tripura Cell under the Tripura Bunyadi Shiksha Adhikar (TBSA), the rally served to generate public awareness about the importance of foundational education.
The three-month-long Nipun Fest aims to enhance students’ reading, writing, and numeracy skills—essential components in early learning. Through a series of activities and interventions, the fest is expected to help create a joyful, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for children.
Speaking on the initiative, officials said that Nipun Fest is not confined to North Tripura alone. Similar awareness campaigns, educational activities, and rallies are being gradually rolled out across various districts, including Gomati, with more to follow in the coming days.
The celebration aligns with the vision of building a stronger academic foundation for children, laying the groundwork for a confident and capable generation. With such initiatives, the Tripura Government and the Education Department are actively contributing to the successful implementation of the National Education Policy and shaping the future of “New India”.
