Agartala, 5th August 2025:  A fire disaster was narrowly averted this afternoon at Ramkrishna Mahavidyalaya in Kailashahar, thanks to the prompt intervention of the college principal.

Around 3 PM, a sudden short circuit occurred inside the college library, sparking panic among students and staff as the smell of burning wires quickly spread through the premises. Witnesses reported a brief moment of chaos as fears of a larger blaze escalated.

The situation was swiftly brought under control when Principal Dr. Pinaki Pal rushed to the scene and immediately switched off the library’s main power supply. His quick thinking prevented the flames from spreading and contained the risk before it could escalate into a full-fledged fire.

Local fire services were alerted and arrived promptly, but by then the danger had already been neutralized. No injuries or structural damage were reported.
