Agartala, 11th August 2025:   Traffic came to a grinding halt today as students of Jaipur High School staged a road blockade in protest against the repeated transfer of their science teacher, exacerbating an already critical staff shortage at the school.

According to local sources, nearly 100 students from the school participated in the demonstration, voicing frustration over the lack of adequate teaching staff. The school caters to classes 9 and 10 has been operating with only one science teacher. Despite repeated appeals to higher authorities, no additional faculty had been appointed.

The situation escalated when the lone science teacher was transferred again, prompting students to take to the streets. The blockade led to severe traffic disruptions, leaving drivers and passengers stranded for hours and causing widespread inconvenience.

Police personnel and the school inspector arrived at the scene shortly after being alerted. After discussions with the protesting students, officials assured them that the matter would be addressed. Following the assurance, the students dispersed peacefully and cleared the road.
