Agartala, 14th August 2025:   Power, Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Ratan Lal Nath on Thursday led a massive Tiranga Yatra in Mohanpur Assembly Constituency to mark Partition Horrors Remembrance Day.

Organised by the BJP Yuva Morcha, Mohanpur, the bike rally commenced from Mohanpur Kamakhya Mandir premises and passed through Kalagachia, Bijaynagar, Tarapur Chowmuhani, Manipuri Chowmuhani, Cinema Hall route, and Dighalia before culminating at Tulabagan Colony football ground. Over 2,000 youths participated, proudly carrying the national flag on their bikes.

Addressing the gathering, Nath recalled that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced Partition Horrors Remembrance Day in 2021 to remember the sacrifices and suffering endured during the country’s division.

“The youths must know who caused the country’s partition and for whose interests. We must remain united so that no one can divide our nation again. This rally is a reminder of that unity. Many families were forced to leave their homes during those days, and we must ensure such horrors are never repeated,” Nath said.

He warned that certain elements still seek to create divisions and urged young people to remain vigilant. He also thanked the participants for joining the rally with discipline and patriotic fervour.

“This will be remembered as a historic bike rally. I am not sure if such a large rally has ever been held in the state,” he added.
