RPI (A) likely to contest in seven seats with BJP

Agartala: January 05. Republican Party of India (Athawale) today claimed that the party had would contest in seven seats out of 60 seats assembly in upcoming 2023 election.

Speaking in a press conference, founder of the party and Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Ramdas Athawale said a meeting was held with BJP state president JP Nadda and Union Minister of State Pratima Bhoumik about seat sharing to contest the assembly elections.

He claimed that the party would contest in seven seats out of the 60 seats. On this day, a review meeting of SC Welfare, Social Welfare and Social Education, OBC Welfare and Janajati Kalyan Department was held in the conference hall of Janjati Kalyan Department. “Prime Minister Narendra Modi is working to fulfill the dream of Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar. Dalit community is with him for that. The BJP will be in power in the upcoming elections in three states of North Eastern region. In terms of seat compromise, the BJP-Republican Party of India has offered two seats. The Republican Party of India has claimed three seats. The party intends to contest from one SC, one ST and one other seat”, said Ramdas today.
