Agartala, 4th September 2025:  In a commendable effort to restore public trust and deliver on citizen concerns, the Gomati District Police have successfully recovered 12 lost mobile phones following a sustained investigation aided by modern technology.

Over the past several months, multiple individuals had filed complaints with local police stations regarding missing mobile devices. Acting on these reports, the police launched a coordinated probe, eventually tracing the phones using advanced tracking methods.

In a formal handover ceremony held earlier this week, the recovered phones were returned to their rightful owners by the district police administration. The gesture was met with widespread appreciation, as relieved citizens expressed gratitude for the department’s proactive response.

Speaking at the event, police officials emphasized that their role extends beyond maintaining law and order. “Earning public trust is equally important,” a senior officer stated, urging residents to promptly report any loss of valuable items to the nearest police station.
