Agartala, 10th September 2025: Tripura’s Animal Resource Development & Fisheries Minister Sudhangshu Das today meets union minister of state for Fisheries and Animal Husbandry & Dairying Geoge Kurian at New Delhi. Minister Das was accompanied by departments’ Secretary Deepa D Nair. Das and Nair also met with Secretary of the Department of Animal Husbandry & Dairying, government of India today.
During the meeting with the union minister of state Kurain, Das said “We had a fruitful discussion on matters concerning my department, development, welfare, and future opportunities for the people of our state.”
“We have presented a detailed report on the proposed projects worth more than Rs 200 crore which will benefit farmers and people of the state, and the union minister state that the central government is highly positive in extending all kinds of support to Tripura and its farmers,” he told www.tripurachronicle.in over phone this evening.
With the Union Secretary, Das said the discussions were focused on strengthening the livestock sector and exploring new opportunities and also providing benefits to the farmers.
