Agartala, 23rd September 2025: The dead body of a youth identified as Abhijit Saha was recovered from his residence in the Indranagar area here today.
Family sources informed that Abhijit had a history of substance abuse but had undergone treatment eight months back at the insistence of his parents. Since then, he had been living a reclusive life, spending most of his time indoors and avoiding interaction with others. His father is a businessman by profession.
Two days prior to the recovery, Abhijit had locked himself in his room, reportedly to sleep. Family members assumed it was part of his usual routine and did not raise alarm when he failed to respond to calls. However, concern grew when he remained unresponsive this morning. Upon receiving no reply, the family alerted the police.
Authorities arrived at the scene and forcibly opened the door, where they found Abhijit’s body. An investigation is currently underway to determine the cause of death.
