Agartala, 8th October 2025 : Tripura State Electricity Corporation mourns the untimely demise of one of its most dedicated officers, Senior Manager Shankar Das, who passed away last night following a sudden cardiac arrest. The incident occurred around 9:30 PM at his residence. Despite being rushed to Tripura Government Medical College, he succumbed on the way.
Das was serving under the Capital Complex Electricity Division at the Durjoynagar Electrical Subdivision. Widely respected and admired across the region, he was known not only for his engineering acumen but also for his warmth and integrity. His previous postings in Jatanbari, Mohanpur, and Banamalipur earned him deep appreciation for his commitment, skill, and humane approach.
More than just an officer, Shankar Das was a mentor and a friend to many of his colleagues. As an active member of the Tripura Power Engineers Association, his contributions were invaluable. His ideals, compassion, and guidance continue to illuminate the lives of those who worked alongside him.
Born on November 8, 1966, Das passed away on October 7, 2025, leaving behind a profound void. The Tripura Electricity Corporation, residents of Durjoynagar, and members of the association are united in grief. A devoted soul and a smiling face — it feels as though a light has gone out in Durjoynagar.
