Agartala, 10th October 2025 :  Tribal Welfare Minister Bikash Debbarma visited the Bir Chandra Manu Ekalavya Model Residential School (EMRS) today, engaging directly with students and faculty to assess the institution’s current infrastructure and educational standards.

During his visit, Debbarma conducted a thorough review of the school’s facilities, including the hostel system, classroom environment, and daily routines of the students. He also held discussions with teachers and students to understand their challenges and needs.

“I personally interacted with the students and teachers to get a clear picture of the issues they face. From infrastructure gaps to the need for better training and support, I’ve taken note of everything,” said Debbarma.

The minister assured that the government will take swift action to address the concerns raised. “Necessary steps will be taken to ensure a better learning environment for the students. We will also provide modern training and support for the teachers and expedite infrastructural development at the school,” he stated.

Highlighting the broader vision of the government, Debbarma emphasized the importance of EMRS institutions in uplifting tribal and marginalized communities. “Our government is committed to delivering quality and value-based education to students from tribal and backward communities in remote areas. We will continue our unwavering efforts to make every EMRS a hub of modern and inclusive learning,” he said.

The visit marks a renewed push by the Tribal Welfare Department to strengthen educational infrastructure and ensure equitable access to quality education across Tripura’s tribal regions.
