Agartala, 11th October 2025 : A significant quantity of banned Eskuf cough syrup known for its narcotic properties was recovered from an abandoned plot in the Vivekananda Palli area of Netajinagar, Bishalgarh today.
Acting on a tip-off, local police conducted a raid at the deserted location and seized the contraband. While no arrests have been made so far, authorities suspect the involvement of local drug peddlers Tapas Saha and Sanju Saha in connection with the illegal stockpile.
Police have registered a case and initiated a thorough investigation into the matter. Officials stated that efforts are underway to trace the source of the contraband and arrest those responsible for its distribution.
