Goa Governor visits Sepahijala Wildlife Sanctuary during Tripura tour

Agartala, 23rd October 2025:   Goa Governor P. Ashok Gajapathi Raju, accompanied by his wife, arrived in Tripura on Thursday as part of a state visit. During the tour, the couple visited the Sepahijala Wildlife Sanctuary, where they explored the zoo and observed various animal species housed within the facility.

The Governor was joined by a delegation of senior officials, including Sepahijala Additional District Magistrate Subhash Dutta, Bishalgarh Sub-Divisional Magistrate Bikki Saha, Sepahijala Zoo Director Siddhartha Debbarma, District Forest Officer Atanu Chakraborty, Wildlife Warden Niranjan Debnath, Additional Superintendent of Police Rajib Sutradhar, Bishalgarh Sub-Divisional Police Officer Bikash Cynthia, Bishalgarh Deputy Collector and Magistrate Prasenjit Das, and Zoo Curator Pranatosh Das.

The visit highlighted the sanctuary’s role in conservation and tourism, with officials briefing the Governor on ongoing initiatives and future plans for wildlife protection in the region.
