Agartala, 8th November 2025: Tripura Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha visited GB Hospital today to inquire about the health condition of Panchali Bhattacharjee, wife of former Chief Minister Manik Sarkar, who is currently undergoing treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
During his visit, the Chief Minister spoke with Bhattacharjee and received a detailed update on her condition. He also interacted with the attending medical team to assess the progress of her treatment and issued necessary instructions to ensure she receives the best possible care.
Speaking to the media later, Dr. Saha conveyed his wishes for Bhattacharjee’s speedy recovery and extended his sympathy to Manik Sarkar and his family during this difficult time.
Panchali Bhattacharjee, who also serves as the Convenor of the All India Working Women Coordination Committee (Tripura State), was admitted to the ICU yesterday evening following a sudden health complication.
Upon learning of her hospitalization, senior CPI(M) leaders, including Central Committee members Manik Dey and Ratan Bhowmik, along with Shankar Dutta and Ratan Das, rushed to the hospital to express their concern and solidarity. Medical authorities continue to monitor her condition closely.
