Agartala, 11th November 2025: Encouraging signs of increased bottle gourd production have emerged at Jora Producer Group (PG) under Mungiakami Block of Khowai District, reflecting the growing impact of TRESP initiatives in tribal farming areas.
A state-level team of consultants Dr. Shibaprasad Majumder, Dr. Dhrubajyoti Pal and Pulak Chowdhury from TSA (Agri) visited the cultivation sites yesterday to assess crop performance and management practices.
Field inspections were conducted at Salswkang PG, Jora PG, Haping PG, and Larima PG under Mungiakami BPMU. The team reviewed the plant protection activities, discussed field-level challenges, and guided farmers on scientific solutions for ensuring better crop health and productivity.
The visit was attended by the State Senior Consultant, District Manager (Agri-Horti), Cluster Coordinator (Agri-Horti), TSA team, and BLMT. Experts appreciated the efforts of tribal farmers and encouraged them to adopt sustainable and scientific cultivation methods to further enhance production and strengthen livelihoods under TRESP.
