Agartala, 13th November 2025: A severe road accident occurred near Bagma Hospital Chowmuhani today, leaving seven people injured after a head-on collision involving a motorcycle and two passenger autos.
According to reports, six elderly men and women from Palatana and Shalgara areas were travelling in an auto-rickshaw on their way to attend a Baishnav religious service. When the vehicle reached the Bagmara Hospital Chowmuhani area on the Sabroom–Agartala National Highway, it collided head-on with a motorcycle and another passenger auto.
Fire service personnel promptly arrived at the scene and rescued the injured, who were then taken to Gomati District Hospital.
Doctors at the hospital said that two of the seven injured are in critical condition. After receiving first aid, the two were referred to GB Hospital in Agartala for advanced treatment, while the remaining five are undergoing treatment at Gomati District Hospital.
