Agartala, 22nd November 2025: A day-long medical camp was organized yesterday at Sipai Para Village under Lefunga R.D. Block by the NSS Unit, IQAC, Department of Human Physiology and Outreach Club of Holy Cross College, Agartala, in collaboration with Millennium Steps, Mohanpur.
The camp was coordinated by Dr. Sharmistha Chakraborty, Assistant Professor and IQAC Co-ordinator. The programme began with a prayer song, followed by the inaugural address of Fr. Davis Konorun CSC, Principal of Holy Cross College, who highlighted the importance of community healthcare. Sukhini Debbarma, Chairperson of Sipai Para Village, also delivered a brief and encouraging speech.
Students of Holy Cross College also presented an engaging programme for the villagers. The camp featured general health check-ups, specialist consultations by attending doctors, a health awareness session, and the distribution of free advised medicines.
With the active participation of villagers, volunteers and NSS members, the camp successfully promoted health awareness and strengthened the Holy Cross Collage’s on-going rural outreach efforts and initiatives.
