Major academic collaboration signed between CFAC and KR Mangalam University

Agartala, 26th November 2025:   In a significant step for the field of art education, the Contemporary Foundation of Art and Craft (CFAC) has entered into an academic collaboration with K.R. Mangalam University (KRMU). The announcement was made at a press conference held this morning at the Ardhendu Bhattacharya Memorial Hall.

The event was attended by Sristi Das, Paresh Chandra Nath, CFAC Chairman Swapan Das, and Rupen Barua, along with other staff members.

Under this partnership, CFAC’s diploma courses will now be conducted under its academic supervision. In the first phase, four courses have received recognition from the University Grants Commission (UGC): Child Art and Craft, Drawing and Painting, Design Thinking, and Art Education and Teacher Training.

Authorities stated that the initiative will provide students with university-level accreditation, access to modern studios and laboratories, and opportunities for advancement in higher education. Education experts believe the collaboration will play a vital role in making art education more scientific, structured, and accessible across the country.
