Agartala, 3rd December 2025: Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha today chaired the 2nd meeting of the High-Level Task Force on Logistics Cost, Infrastructure & Connectivity in the North East Region, held in the virtual presence of Union Minister for Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) Shri Jyotiraditya M. Scindia and the Chief Ministers and Ministers of various Northeastern states.
During the meeting, Dr. Saha highlighted the importance of strengthening multimodal connectivity, reducing logistics costs, and accelerating infrastructure development to unlock the region’s economic potential. He noted that improved connectivity would boost trade, tourism, and investment across the Northeastern states.
The Chief Minister emphasized Tripura’s ongoing and upcoming projects related to road, rail, air, and waterways, stressing the need for coordinated efforts among states and central agencies.
Union Minister Scindia appreciated the proactive steps taken by the Northeastern states and reiterated the Centre’s commitment to enhancing connectivity and development in the region.
The meeting also reviewed progress on key infrastructure initiatives, identified bottlenecks, and discussed strategies to ensure timely implementation of priority projects aimed at integrating the Northeast more effectively with national and international trade routes.
Officials from various departments and representatives from NE states participated in the deliberations.
