Agartala, 20th December 2025 : Agartala witnessed a tense demonstration today as members of the Sanatan Hindu Sena staged a protest outside the office of the Assistant High Commission of Bangladesh. The protest was organized in response to allegations of persecution against minority communities in Bangladesh.

Authorities deployed heavy police and paramilitary forces in the area to maintain order, as the demonstration sparked tension among locals.

Protesters claimed that a young man from the minority community, identified as Dipu Chandra Das, was allegedly beaten to death in Dubalia Para of Bhaluka upazila, Mymensingh district. Outraged by the incident, the Sanatan Hindu Sena demanded immediate and effective measures from the Bangladesh government to ensure the safety of minorities.
