Agartala, 29th December 2025:    Breaking all previous records, Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission (TRLM) didis have scripted history by achieving sales worth Rs 17.67 crore at the recently concluded Saras Mela. The figure marks a sharp rise from last year’s Rs 12 crore sales.

A senior official of the mission informed that the mela witnessed participation from several states, line departments, and thousands of didis from across Tripura. A wide range of innovative farm and non-farm products were launched during the event, showcasing the entrepreneurial spirit of rural women.

During the course of the mela, TRLM formalized four Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs). In addition, a MoU is set to be signed with the Indian Institute of Management–Kolkata to provide conceptual and strategic support to didis and entrepreneurs. The initiative aims to transform Lakhpati Didis into Millionaire Didis, with some targeted to become Crorepati Didis.

TRLM authorities expressed heartfelt gratitude to Chief Minister for continuous support, reaffirming their commitment to expanding livelihood opportunities for women across the state. They also thanked social and print media for extensive coverage of the Saras Mela.

On the other hand, a state-level workshop on the upcoming DDU-GKY 2.0 Scheme was held today at Pragna Bhawan under the chairmanship of Tarit Kanti Chakma, IAS, CEO of TRLM.
