Agartala, 29th December 2025:    Chandipur witnessed a vibrant celebration as Netaji Shiksha Niketan, a private educational institution under the Chandipur Assembly constituency, marked its Silver Jubilee year. The school, which has completed 25 years of service, organized a colorful event with the support of the Arts and Crafts organization and the dedicated efforts of the local community.

The festivities began with a grand rally from the school premises to Vivekananda Hall, featuring enthusiastic participation from students, parents, and teachers.

The main ceremony was inaugurated by the Minister of Social Welfare and Social Education, Tinku Roy, who lit the ceremonial lamp. On this occasion, the school released a commemorative souvenir in the minister’s presence.

Several dignitaries attended the event, including Unakoti District Education Officer Prashanta Kalikdar, Kailashahar Municipal Council Chairperson Chapla Debroy, former headmaster Pranoy Kanti Sen, and School SMC Chairman Randhir Sen. A detailed account of the institution’s 25-year journey was presented by Pralayendu Choudhury, accompanied by a documentary showcasing its growth from inception to the present day. The minister also launched the school’s official website during the program.

Addressing the gathering, Minister Tinku Roy highlighted the state’s progress in education, emphasizing the government’s focus on both traditional and vocational learning. He noted the introduction of skilled trainers in fields such as yoga and music to benefit students.

“Teachers are like sculptors—the beauty of the sculpture depends on how they shape it,” Roy remarked. He stressed that while universities provide certificates, holistic development requires regular training in sports and extracurricular activities. Citing examples of achievers like gymnast Dipa Karmakar, he expressed confidence that students of Netaji Shiksha Niketan would excel in diverse fields in the future.

The entire celebration carried a festive spirit, underscoring the institution’s commitment to nurturing the next generation through education and community engagement.
