Agartala, 19th January 2026: The Tripura Power Department is going to launch live line maintenance work and drone technology from February and March.
This was informed by Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath while addressing the 3rd foundation day of Tripura Power Transmission Limited (TPTL) at Urja Bhawan in 79 Tilla, Agartala.
The Power Minister informed that to make Ek Tripura Srestha, Tripura Viksit, the most important thing we need is power.
“Without power, you can’t do anything. To make a new Tripura, we must work to upgrade the power. Tripura Power Transmission Limited (TPTL) is not only celebrating its foundation day but also organizing blood donation, health camps, distributing LED bulbs, and many other initiatives. We must make people self-reliant and we must depend on each other,” he said.
The Minister also launched a calendar of TPTL and said that the calendar was launched to hold review meetings to assess all the works.
“All the departments must follow TPTL. In the calendar, it is also mentioned about the upcoming plans and what needs to be done. In February, live line maintenance work will be done, and in March, drones will be used. TPTL has also launched its anthem. Prime Minister Narendra Modi wants to bring innovation to the society,” said the Minister.
The Minister said that the power department is working on underground cables in Agartala, Dharmanagar, and Khumulwng.
On the foundation day, TPTL organized colorful programs to celebrate its third foundation day.
In continuation of this success, every year the company organizes various social, health, and cultural programs focusing on the foundation day.
This voluntary blood donation camp was held under the supervision of I.L.S. Hospital. As part of the company’s social responsibility, free LED bulbs were distributed among the needy families of the area, which will encourage the common people to save electricity as well as use it in an environmentally friendly manner.
