Agartala, 19th January 2026 : The two-day block-level Srijan Utsav commenced today with a grand inauguration at the Durga Nagar Srit Bhadraavati School grounds. The festival was formally inaugurated by local MLA Sushanta Deb.
The opening ceremony witnessed the presence of several dignitaries, including Bishalgarh Panchayat Samiti Chairperson Atasi Das and Bishalgarh Municipal Council Chairperson Anjan Purkayastha, along with other guests.
Over the course of the festival, stalls from various government departments have been set up to showcase schemes and services. Beneficiaries were handed commemorative tokens as part of the outreach initiative.
Self-help groups from Bishalgarh have also displayed a wide range of locally produced goods, adding vibrancy to the fair. Cultural performances by local artists drew significant attention on the first day, while programs featuring artists from outside the state are scheduled to take place during the two-day event.
The Srijan Utsav aims to celebrate creativity, promote local entrepreneurship, and strengthen community participation through cultural exchange and public engagement.
