Agartala, 30th January 2026: A joint operation by the Special Task Force (STF) and Border Security Force (BSF) was carried out at the residence of notorious drug trafficker Hafiz Mia in the Bhagyapur Panchayat area.
During the raid, officials recovered sharp weapons, cash amounting to Rs 3 lakh, a currency counting machine, account books related to drug trade, and empty polythene packets used for packaging narcotics.
Police sources revealed that Hafiz Mia had long been involved in drug smuggling and illegal financial transactions. Acting on these allegations, the raid was conducted at his residence earlier today.
At the time of the operation, neither Hafiz Mia nor his family members were present at the house. Authorities confirmed that the seized items included sharp weapons, cash, a money-counting machine, drug trade ledgers, and empty polythene packets linked to narcotics packaging.
