Agartala, 2nd February 2026 :  The present government is working literally for human welfare, said MLA Pinaki Das Choudhuri while attending a distribution program organized by the Madhya Kalyanpur Gram Panchayat. He noted that in earlier times, villagers had to approach political leaders’ houses or party offices to seek government assistance, but now panchayats and various government departments are reaching out directly to people with the help they need. “This is what the BJP government stands for,” he remarked.

At the event, held in Madhya Kalyanpur, a total of 147 villagers received dustbins and 130 were provided with water filters. Special filters were also distributed to Kalyanpur School and two other schools for the benefit of students. In addition, job cards under the MGNREGA scheme and trade licenses were handed over during the program.

MLA Pinaki Das Choudhuri emphasized that similar welfare initiatives will continue in the future, with every panchayat implementing plans aimed at overall development. He further stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and earlier during Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s tenure, the BJP government has given the people of India a true taste of freedom.

The program was attended by village head Nantu Barman, deputy head Asim Deb Roy, Additional BDO Prashanta Chakraborty, social worker Nitai Bal, and several other dignitaries. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from the local community, with the distribution of materials carried out in the presence of the MLA and other officials.
