Agartala, 2nd February 2026 : Tripura Gramin Bank (TGB) has achieved a landmark milestone in its Golden Jubilee year by launching its first-ever Co-Branded RuPay Credit Card in collaboration with its sponsor bank, Punjab National Bank (PNB).
With this initiative, TGB has become the first Regional Rural Bank (RRB) among the eight sponsored by PNB—and the first RRB in the country—to introduce a Co-Branded RuPay Credit Card, setting a new benchmark in the rural banking sector.
The launch, held in Agartala, was spearheaded under the visionary leadership of Satyendra Singh, Chairman of Tripura Gramin Bank, whose emphasis on digital empowerment and customer-centric innovation has guided the bank’s transformation journey.
The PNB–TGB Co-Branded RuPay Credit Card is expected to significantly enhance customer convenience and promote inclusive growth, particularly in rural and semi-urban areas. By integrating modern credit facilities within the trusted RuPay ecosystem, the initiative underscores TGB’s commitment to bridging the digital divide and empowering its customers with accessible financial solutions.
The event was attended by Rakhi Biswas, Director (Small Savings, Group Insurance & Institutional Finance), Government of Tripura; Satyendra Singh, Chairman, Tripura Gramin Bank; Deepak Kumar, General Manager – Public Relations & Credit Card Division, Punjab National Bank (HO); Taufique Alam, MD & CEO, PNB Cards & Services Ltd.; Diganta Kumar Das, Deputy General Manager, NABARD – Tripura Regional Office; and Rituraj Krishna, Deputy General Manager & Circle Head, PNB Circle Office, Agartala.
The launch witnessed enthusiastic participation from senior officials of TGB, representatives from PNB and PNB Cards & Services Ltd., along with members of the media fraternity, making the occasion truly memorable.
