Agartala, 6th  February 2026 :   A sudden and devastating fire destroyed essential belongings of several on-duty police personnel, leaving them without uniforms and other daily necessities on January 26, 2026. The incident, which gutted an entire room, caused significant disruption to both their personal and professional lives.

In response to this crisis, Longtharai stepped forward with a humanitarian initiative, treating it as a moral and social responsibility to support the affected officers. On Friday evening, the organization distributed new uniforms to the police members, enabling them to resume their duties with dignity and focus.

The event was not merely an act of donation but a gesture of solidarity, respect, and gratitude. Attended by administrative and police officials, the program highlighted the importance of compassion, social unity, and standing together during times of adversity.

Police personnel, often described as society’s silent sentinels, play a vital role in maintaining security and order. Any disruption in their lives inevitably impacts the broader community. Recognizing this, Longtharai undertook the initiative to restore their confidence and morale.

Longtharai has consistently integrated humanitarian values and social responsibility into its activities. Reaffirming its commitment, the organization pledged to continue extending support to those affected by disasters in the future.

The initiative was led by Longtharai’s Managing Director, Ratan Debnath, with General Manager Subrata Debnath and other officials present. Outpost OC Sanjay Saha lauded the effort.

Authorities expressed hope that this humanitarian gesture would help the affected police personnel regain strength and confidence. They also urged individuals and institutions across society to come forward with similar acts of solidarity in times of need.
